I really admire him, because he was able to make politics in a different way and the most important he invested in education, which is the basic and the most useful tool to help people grow.I know everything he made for the our city

and I would like he to do the same and much better for the rest of the cities of Colombia, that is why I am going to vote consciouly for the first time in my life in 2010, thank you Fajardo for allow us to have a person like you and charlie rose for this serious interview.

Presently I am working in a SC school that is inter-city. The building is surrounded by 6 ft. high barbed fencing. While the idea is that this makes the building more secure, it is also demoralizing. I was struck by Fajardo's approach to reducing violence by increasing security and education. Then he added the brilliant stroke of bringing architecture into the mix. Yes, beautiful surroundings increase pride in community. Perhaps he has an approach to reduce the murders and narco-traffic in US cities as well.

He made the comment that, "Violence creates pockets of isolationism." Yes, and that true in our own cities as well. Thank you for this speaker---His wisdom transcends Columbia.

I hope Mr. Fajardo reads these comments because I would like to recommend that he have a look at Jose Abreu's inspiring work involving music in public spaces in Venezuela. An introduction is available at www.ted.com. It might make sense for these two humanitarian geniuses to meet..

Colombia needs another point of view to be able to change its fate.

President Uribe has been very good at the security level, but his labor in education, health, employment has been very, very bad.

Sergio Fajardo represents the chance to complement all the security and military advances with the social work that all the colombians need. I'll vote for Mr. Fajardo, I have all my trust in his diligence and commitment with the country.
