I have news for Mr. Simon: as long as Israel occupies pre-1967 Arab land, they will never live in peace.

I completely agree with Bob Simon - the Palestinians missed the train in 1947 when they had a real chance of establishing statehood, and they were forced to miss the train the second time when every Israeli government since 1967, regardless of political convictions, knowingly allowed the establishment of Israeli settlements in the West Bank. The real solution is one of two options: either let time go by, do nothing and get more and more settlements built and thus eliminate completely the potential for any Palestinian State or declare that all of the settlement will be a part of the new Palestinian State, under Palestinian rule, but with open borders to Israel and the settlers then will have to make the choice either to stay or go back to Israel. This option has a very low likelyhood to come about. As it stands now - all the talk by Israeli officials about peace and "two state solution" is as they say in Arabic: "kalam Fadi" which means "talking to the wind" - no one listens and no one takes any of it seriously.
