This interview of Facebook's founder and Chief Of Operations in November 2011, (dated February 1 2012, above,) is reached using the following address: http://www.charlierose.com/view/clip/12125
It is important to me because Facebook, itself, has been impenetrable to me over the years of being an inactive member.
The Rose interview may be the best in his archive of views and clips.
My comment will be here on this page and on my own site http://www.outputbasedmoney.info/rose1feb2011
The above is my intention. It may be defeated by rose show procedures on his page. On mine I hope to finish it.
My point will be that Facebook, Amazon, Wikipedia, Google, Apple, and Microsoft, etc., all fail to CONNECT ordinary people and extraordinary people to speed up reform in logistical science, micro- and macro-economics, banking, accounting, finance, government and political science, etc., to the point where we adopt the "can do" systems of WW II to the problems of today in global organization, peace, trade, employment, poverty, communications, etc., promised by the info-tech revolution that took off with the stored program computers developed during that war.
In the Rose Show version of this essay, it will be segmented to accommodate their posting system which allows no post-send editing. On my own site, I will make it one long page -- edited frequently.

Anyone reading facebook's S1 can see that management (Sandberg) worked in an incentive program that uses the guise of "alignment" and "retaining key figures" to justify swindling shareholders in the future. That World Bank and government experience sure trained her well on ploys to line pockets with the fruits of others' labor. Expensive lesson Mark.
Sean Parker appeared like magic, laid out a vision, and set everything in motion for facebook. Even negotiated so Mark would maintain his large equity stake and control over the company. Charlie is interviewing byproducts of the legendary Sean Parker.

What would we do without computers and especially the internet?

Consider the underlying symbolisms for having Facebook represent a significant role of America's hand in the
global economy. Facebook isn't even merchandising -yet-let alone industry. Facebook is where idle time goes to splash around in their pond followed there by profit-philes waiting to flash them. The hype created by the announced
IPO intent is like someone threw a mouse out into monkey island. China builds steel plants, dishes out our allowance,
leads the world in solar power and brought more people into middle class life than anytime in the history of the world.
Vision w/o perspective is the end of a precarious branch. Yossarian Lives.

It seems that Zuckerberg needs to polish his speaking skills. I'm not questioning his capacity as a leader, but it's just unusual. He keeps interjecting whenever Sheryl Sandberg is speaking. To be honest, I'd love to hear from her more because she's more adept in the business in general. I believe that she played a pivotal role in what has become of Facebook now.
