What a great man, what a loss. His appreciation of others work and contributions, his work ethic, and his sense of wonder have given us treasures for years to come. John

It never ceases to amaze me how what we once thought of as "modern" art has become classic, and dare I say, dated, almost nostalgic. When I look at Pollock or Rauschenberg now I hark back to my youth. The only one of the moderns (if I can use that term freely as a lay person) who do not have that effect on me is de Kooning whose work still seems just out of this world still. I love them all since they led me into an appreciation of a part of life I may never have enjoyed without seeing their work.
