Mike Easley is the two-term Democratic governor of North Carolina who had endorsed former Sen. John Edwards before he dropped out of the race at the end of January. He announced his endorsement of Senator Clinton one week ahead of his state?s primary, citing her experience and education policies.

Charley, Easler's a good ole' boy. Obama doesn't pass Easler's color test. That's all. Plain and simple. Easy as black and white.

It is fantastic to see Governor Easley on the show. And I do agree with Raj Patel and Carol's comments, Mr. Rose seems out of balance lately.

If there was a Forest Gump award for stupid questions Mr Rose would surely be nominated. His question of Governor Easley of "Why the Democratic candidates aren't talking about education" qualifies him for this award. The answer is simple, the Democratic Party's biggest supporters are the Civil Service and Teachers Unions and as such are sacred cows. These unions and corresponding bureaucracy are at the heart of the broken public education system. In California $0.60 of every dollar spent on education goes to the administration of the system and never sees the kids in the classroom.

So glad I watched. A totally charming person who made his points with a humor and confidence. Charlie better look out - I'd watch him at an earlier hour for sure!

5.1.08 Charlie Rose show is my favorite show. I am impressed wth his grasp of the subjects and his ability to deal with people and bring clarity to issues. I celebrated his neutrality and focus on iuuses. But his unhidden on show support for Obama has confused and saddned me. I can imagine his personal support out of arena. But here it has muddied his reputation. What is the last time he asked Obama Supporter if they have talked to Clintons first before supporting Obama. Inever seen it. He asked that to Governor of North Carolina reapetedly. I am very sad. I relied on him for intellectual discussion unbiased and clarifying. Now that rust is broken. Is his service to millions of viewers less of a service that his dogged support of Obama no matter how good a candidate he may be. I am robbed of one of the few trusted source on issues. I am very sad. RAJ AT RAJ@CHICAGOMAN.COM

Mr Easley doesn't look obtuse, but to endorse the pathological lier is beyond the pale. Dodging imaginary bullets is a part of her jingoism that voted for war. She will say and do anything to win. Which disqualifies her even some more, beyond the Bosnia fantasy. She's smart but totally void of wisdom (runs in the family). Bosnia suggests she's got an unstable genome coursing her system.

Wow Charlie. That "Obama for President" pin you wear is now bigger than the TV screen. Your questions to the governor were so disrespectful. If someone doesn't support Hillary, you do everything you can to try to embarrass them. If Obama wasn't in this race, you would be singing her praises. Yet, your questions to Obama supporters are always warm and fuzzy. The governor remained gracious even during your attack on his "organization". btw, WoWoWoW asked the question if either Clinton or Obama should throw in the towel before the convention. The majority of the 200+ responses--NO!! And the Hillary supporters outnumbered the Obama supporters.
