Kellygo, consider me charmed by your response. Humor has been on a holiday for months and I miss it. Best to you as well.
Idea, you are extremely bright and hilarious. A gift to NC. As for the subconscious, I think it tells us a lot if we are able to look and listen to it, but that is like looking at yourself naked in a fully lit 3-way mirror. Terrifying to think about. However, I think it is critical to becoming a better person, (if that is your mission) to examine ourselves as we really are; what we actually think, say, and do. Fun chatting Health, Love, Peace and Prosperity to all
kellygo, um, okay. But not sure somebody can tell you what they feel subsconsiously though I sometimes think Charlie may be filming while unconscious. har. About the guests, my only comment would be that they may need to do more reading om the web before they think women of 40 are really in need of a blog where semi celebs tell us what mattress they bought. I am only interested if it comes with a certain guy from NC. I AM KIDDING. sorta.
Hi Idea, My comments were not about the website at all. They were directed towards "Skip the Skeptic's" attitudes about women in general. My question to him (and to all of us) does he at a conscious or subconscious level believe women are inferior to men. As far as the website I may visit it one day. I'm not making any judgements about it at all. However, I didn't particulary like this broadcast because IMO these women came off a little to self congradulatory, snobish, clickish etc. Thanks for responding Peace to all
I had some trouble with the site the first two times I went there. Have noticed those difficulties cleared. I couldn't get the featured Liz Smith article to show up stay up, so I could see her presentation. Charlie Rose warmed up to the WowOWow site as he spoke...I liked that. It is a place to feature strength, power, generosity, humility, compassion, and flourishing unconditional love. Time for women to lead by extraordinary examples. Let's go!

i wish the segment had been flipped.much more interested in the frontline show on healthcare in other industrial countries. unfortunetely, another analysis of how the "eloquent one" misspoke again. obama wants to elevate the conversation,be above the fray, educate the masses, etc. adlai stevenson's old playbook. come to think of it,obama would make a very good ambassador to the UN.
What a wonderful opportunity to hear something of substance from successful ladies. Your audience may be interested in the same quality of information we gain from watching the Charlie Rose show, but from the viewpoint of women. I had never heard of "Drudge" before, so I'll check that out. Please do well. Make us proud.
Thank-you, Mr. Rose, et.al. Love the gals on wowowow. Nothing like a group of dependable correspondants. That's what I've enjoyed all week. Thanks for the tip. And don't forget to check out classicalgenius.com. Not for work. For play. It's a music education tool, really.
I tape Charlie Rose every day and I am glad that I run into your conversation with him. It is so refreshing to have a website for women 40 and over. Thank so much because it is the first time that women have time to discuss our issues. Thanks again, Sincerely, Edith Redmond, Wa
so basically you didnt bother to go to the site before making a comment about someone else's impression of the site he actually made the effort to look at. Interesting approach.
Hi Idea, Thanks for the clever funny, The top reasons I didn't go to the website first: I was short on time (library was closing), Age 40 passed all of these women a long long time ago, Don't blondes get enough attention. And the top reason I did not go to the website: Okay this program brought out some negative feelings in me. Give me some time to get over it. Peace to all Kellygo
kellygo - why not gokelly to the site first?
To "Skip The Skeptic" and all others. I have not been to the website but plan to visit even though I do not fit the demographics. So why assume after one brief viewing in its very early incarnation the site does not have anything for you? If something is not written with you/your demographics in mind it has no value; limited value "no big whoop"? I hope that's not how you really feel about women.
Unfortunately I missed the discussion live on TV, so I wanted to watch it here. Unfortunately, the video stopped twice, about a third of the way through. Very interesting discussion, and a very frustrated site visitor (me). Please fix this, and I'll come back and try again. Btw, I found their site on the first day or two, and I find it fascinating. Still growing...
Why be gender and age specific? Why not focus on producing a quality product guided by integrity? Like Charlie Rose, no gimmicks are needed. Also, two of the women are wearing prominent chains around their necks. Is this an homage to the oppression of women or emblematic of cognitive dissonance?
I was delighted to see such intelligent ladies have such fun. Cannot wait to see & enjoy future airings... I am a senior that remembers "GIRL TALK" with Virginia Graham.. 40 plus years ago? Good luck..Go for it! My husband remembers' Mary Wells Lawrence.(WELLS-RICH-GREEN)AGENCY. HIS COMMENT, "BEST ADVERTISING AGENCY"...

The wowowow.com web site is made with Drupal. I started a discussion at drupal.org/forum/25 if you would like to comment on the web design & layout or are interested in the Drupal technology.
Had a gander at the site. Parts were surprisingly campy. Disappointing. As a male my curiosity is satiated. Return is doubtful. But then it isn't meant for me, so no big whoop.
Caught your interview on Charlie Rose last night and thought what a great idea for a website. So here I am and it looks good. However, after hearing that at least 3 of you go to the Drudge report first thing every day, I tried it. What's the big deal? Different info but gossipy. After I read Drudge's biography I have concluded that he is too close to Rush Limbaugh for me to waste my time on. To explain the everyday 'first' web news for these women, I can only conclude that the website is just the 'latest hot thing that everyone does'. It's the kind of thing that you must do every day in order to have a conversation with anyone.
Interesting program with the ladies Charlie, and I wish them the best of luck with the new venture. They are an influential group of women, and I would suggest that they read the following threads regarding the coming presidential election. After they read these threads they would understand why it is imperative that the Democratic Party draft Al Gore at the convention as its nominee for the general election. The thread also covers what it will mean for women and minorities if John McCain becomes president of the United States in November 2008. Here are the two threads: Al Gore - Democratic Party candidate in 2008. http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=74835 March 23, 2008 The Impact of a Democratic Party Historic Loss in November 2008. http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2008/3/23/3133/57688
I caught your interview with Charlie Rose tonite and found it very interesting. Will definitely visit your site. Wish you all the best of luck.
-my earlier comment referred to your 2005 talk with Ms. Smith-
Share your appreciation for Olivier, actor who caught lightning, shoulder bearer of the modern National. So sorry your guest Ms. Smith had to denigrate him. It seems he bore a great deal privately and tried long & hard to help someone beyond modern medical help. Perhaps insecure, driven, ambitious (what achiever isn't?), and other faults we all have.
