George Bush is determined to crown himself supreme emporer and roll the American miltary-industrial war machine complex over any country he does not like particularly if it is non-christian (read: Islamic) that he does not like. Look at the merry go around of generals Bush burned through in the first two-three years of that keystone circus in Iraq because they kept telling they needed to more trrops to do the job correctly. While Bush in his (and Condeleeza Rice) baffoon obsessive attempt about selectively "promoting" democracy and human rights around the world while suppressing it here in the US. just to show he is smarter and stronger than his Dad. When is the Congress AND this country (particularly Democracts) going to get some backbone and impeach that moron and his faithfully treasonous sidekick, Cheney while there is still a country left to defend?

I support Fallon--THE PREZ?:"@#@$ has converted me from a Republican of over 40 years (and a swabbie) to an independent or - - horror of horrors - - a Democrat!

Oh please the guy was a publicity whore if you read the article he set himself up as some hero, the lone man that was saving America from a war with Iran, when he actually could do nothing if the President really want to start something with Iran. Some people need a God complex to make their lives more meaningful. If he was really concerned about the Presidents stance on Iran he wouldn't have participate in these stupid articles for liberal magazines that he knew would undermine is authority with the Pentagon and position within the military.

When you think of all the high ranking military and foreign policy pros that totally screwed up Iraq and hunting Bin Laden that have not ever had so much as a wrist slap instead get promoted or a Medal of Freedom it makes my old Grunt feet hurt. Now with one less mind to reason that we should not only not bomb Iran but be in dialogue with her we are now closer to the permanent war these clowns have gleefully wished for. Ah you say thats not fair thats just how it worked out. Every choice they have made from the start was predictable in the results they produced. Which was exactly the opposite of their public pronouncements and protestations. Impeachment should be front and center.

I agree that the possibility of war just increased for Admiral Fallon, along with Sec of Defense Gates, are two strongest political forces keeping the Administration in check. Congress is unlikely to be a more difficult to handle than they were in 2003 (Democratic control or not) and the media already has its war graphics ready to roll. I hope that this show seriously examines this issue for war is not only a mistake, but it is will throwing away an incredibly opportunity for progress in Iraq and Afghanistan. www.theysaynothing.com

For a talented experienced commander like Admiral Fallon to resign like that bodes ominously for Iran. Bush has only another 8 months in office and if the US attacks Iran it would come this summer, or in the next 3-6 months. The next president may find himself in quite a predictament come January.
