How can a viewer NOT be truly appreciative of access through the fluid intellect of Mr. Rose to the great and not so great thinkers and doers of our lifetimes. I feel most fortunate just to be in a position to access all of these wondorful recordings. Do I wish that I could view full screen? Well, yes. But I'll keep watching and listening regardless of the format. Thanks so much for your offerings.

Never mind John, for every Walt Mossberg who tells it as it is fair and square, there are 50 Thurrott's, Enderle's, Dvorakk's and Elgan's who slam Apple at every opportunity and sing thankfully for Microsoft. Well, most of the world is starting to see that Bill Gates and Microsoft are not wearing any clothes. Steve Jobs is the one actually wearing the Emperor's robes in the 21st century.
The first half of Mossberg's interview was free marketing for Apple, paid for by the sponsors and contributors to PBS. Maybe they could have discussed how Apple's store is anti-competitive, or why thinness is or isn't the most important feature in a sub-notebook. Mossberg says that processor speed isn't sacrificed -- but it is. The Air uses a slower and cooler version of the core-2.
Clarification: Apple Stock suspected manipulation -- I meant 1/22/08 Drop, after great report from Apple... Was it a Pump and Dump? Did CNBC play a hand in that? Cramer? That drop can't bee blamed all on that terrible 1/22/08 Tuesday! It seems like Apple's competitors are looking to hit below the belt! As a result, a lot of shareholders get hurt! Hope Charlie can look into that! Bravo again! Thanks!
This show with Walter Mossberg and Ken Auletta was GREAT!!! Wish there was Part 2 + 3:)! Please, Charlie! Charlie did a great job with Q+A... I also wish those 2 guests opined on the topic of Apple Stock suspected manipulation! Lot's of conspiracy theories floating around... Hope Charlie can get these guys back, together at the same time for a Round Table, particularly after the Spectrum Auction is over!!! It's incredible how Charlie can address such wide variety of topics! I am a huge fan! Thanks to my DVR, I try to catch him often. These Episodes belong on iTunes! They are already Free to stream of this site, so why not one more step to iTunes? Bravo Charlie Rose!!!!!!!!!
To Mr Reese: Your statements are good. You don't want to be a coach potato and you know there is more out there, plus you did not state DO IT NOW as George did. Take Care and enjoy your life.
Carol J: I completely agree with George. If you're satisfied with your PBS routine, good for you. Some of us use TV differently. Some of don't even HAVE TVs and use digital media via our computers and audio equipment for passive entertainment. Our "toys", as you call them, are our TOOLS. We use them differently, actively. We do NOT want to be controlled by TV and their schedules. Nor do we want to accumulate tapes and DVDs of TV shows that will be watched once or twice and forgotten. Downloading digital media allow us to take control and watch or listen when where and how we wish. That may make some of us sound like a bunch of spoiled brats to you, but there are too many other things to do and think about than whether or not we miss one of "our shows" or not.
To Jay: REQUEST YES. George's e-mail sounds more like demanding than requesting or suggesting. I have supported PBS for a very long time and I watch what I want to see. I watch it on tv and not on half dozen other media products. What I am saying is record or watch reruns if you miss your favorite program on first broadcast and get a life away from technology and or toys.
To Carol J: George is right to ask for better media support from PBS. Such requests are good meters by which to judge the technical sophistication of PBS viewers. And George isn't asking for freebies, either. Just good content at a fair price. I also would pay a fair price for only the episodes I choose to view. iTunes is as good a marketplace as any to offer this product.
Boy are you pushy and demanding George. Some of us do not need to have all these toys you are demanding from PBS. Do you spend all your time in front of the computer screen, the television screen. Maybe you are one who is clued to his cell phone. Have yous seen this program? I have another hour to go before it is televised in my area.
What is it about PBS still selling VHS and DVD? Come on get with the digital reality! PBS make all of your programming available on HD subscriptions, iTunes or any other site that can push out H.264 content. I'd happily pay the price for the individual shows I want, give me a good price and I'd subscribe for a season... HD content Now!
Video podcasts through iTunes would be great. However, It would also be awesome to see the Charlie Rose videos through the new Apple TV!
