I've enjoyed Richard Russo's books, because he manages to see simultaniously the details as well as the big picture. He has a keen sense of family dynamics, combined with a knowledge of the history of the American economic landscape, in particular the American worker. The fact that both male and female readers can identify with the characters he's created only enhances the attraction of his stories.
I have a feeling I will love the new book. Thanks for a fun and interesting conversation
I saw Empire Falls and Newman and Hoffman had me howling! And it is always great to see Ms Woodward. I really enjoyed it. I would love to hear the author's comments on the adaptation.
