If any of my fellow Americans are so lacking of intellect as to want Sarah Palin on the McCain ticket, well, you can have her... As most of the other comments mentioned Palin said a lot of NOTHING. She's good at that.

Sarah Palin answered Charlie's questions the same way she campaigned for Governor . . . saying nothing. Watching her being interviewed alongside Gov. Napolitano just shows how unqualified, uninspiring, and non-intellectual Gov. Palin is. Alaska got what it voted for - again!! A perfect demonstration of why Alaska's public education needs improvement - especially in the area of Civics and Government.

I am a 48 year resident of Alaska. I have see all of the previous governors. We had many outstanding ones. Sarah Palin, is what Alaska needs. A young intelligent, dynamic individual who is able to attract people young, and old.

Sarah Palin reeks of a gum smacking soccer mom. Is she protecting the current president when she says she knows of the energy policy through the media or does she not know there is no policy? To think she is one of the highest rated politicians in the country. Sad...

Palin hears about the Bush administration's energy policy through the media? ------------------------------------------- Governor Palin's State of the State Address January 17, 2007 "The gasline is critical not just for our future, but for the nationâ??s future. Itâ??s also an essential component of our nationâ??s energy policy. Truly, for energy independence, the nation will look to Alaska. Weâ??ve already begun working with the White House. In fact, I had a nice conversation with Vice President Cheney today." http://www.gov.state.ak.us/archive.php?id=66&type=2

Can we trade Palin for Napolitano? Alaska could use a governor with the knowledge it takes to lead a state.

Rose to Gov. Palin, "Do you know what the Bush administration energy policy is?" Gov. Palin, "Well, we hear about it through the media." Not that deep, but good at avoinding any kind of meaningful response. In fairness to Gov. Palin no presidential administration has had an energy policy in the last 40 years. Perhaps she is aware of that, but how would we know.

Sarah Palin is an embarressment to Alaska and is now serving her personal interests instead of the state's.

one topic was healthcare. one great opportunity that has come during 'Janet's' tenure has been health insurance for self employed. I'd been refused by Blue Cross for tenous reasons a couple times (chiropractic? my GP said 'Everyone gets older!'), and for five years had no comprehensive coverage. The State Leg. passed a policy, with 3 insurance companies whereby any self employed person would not be turned down,a nd we could take our pick of any company, and many policy options. Unfortunately the start up cost has been higher than estimated. Many people are having to 'catch-up' with medical issues. And there is a fight going on now in Leg. to not further fund with supplement $. The premiums have risen about 10% in one year. But that has been very acceptable. My dentist says the dental insurance is excellent. (I broke a tooth last month.) I've yet to go for a general physical, but am very greatful to not have 'pre-existing conditions' hanging over my head. BTW: filing the application was assisted by insurance workers at a free session. Of course all of it is now handled online. Yes i do have a new GP from the list. But i can still consult my family GP (I'm second generation with him) if i choose. There's absolutely no reason that our country should not have a national healthcare system. Stop with the scare tactics! The existing private companies can probably do a better job at admin. than a larger fed agency, and still sell 'preferred' policies to increase their profit.

As an Alaskan I was dismayed that Sarah Palin did not say one word about our biggest problem--global warming! I wish Charlie Rose would have asked her about that.
