STEVE NASH IS MY HERO! I love him. He plays an amazing game.
Steve Nash is the greatest point guard of all time. I am a big fan.As a point guard, I amazed by what he does. He is a champion. Suns will overcome the spurs and when they do, they will win a championship. Go Suns
nash im like you love making plays and my goal is the nba i loved soccer all my life then my friends loved basketball so i now love basketball and im making a goal to im in grade 8 right now and your amazing
steve nash rock over anyone
I cant just understand why we r commenting on this video,do we need worlds to decribe Steve nash
This is no finer sports role model. Steve inspires me more every time I listen to him speak. An incredible player and man, who we are lucky to get to watch! There is NO ONE in the league who deserves a championship more.
i hate steve nash
Had the pleasure of watching Steve play recently in Phoenix and he is truly the most exciting athlete I have seen live. He steals the show and brings everyone around him into the game. He's a truly amazing athlete and I wish him and the Suns the best this season.
Nash is a very good point guard, one of the best, but all time? Ever? I think you kids are forgetting about Magic Johnson, John Stockton, Kevin Johnson, Mo Cheeks, Jason Kidd, Isiah Thomas, etc. He's the hot hand right now, but he averages less than 1 steal a game, his defense is water. Is it his time to shine? Yes. Did he deserve the MVP? Maybe, but point guards before him have put up better numbers (Stockton) and never got it.
Being a basketball fan in NYC and growing up rooting for the Knicks has been so frustrating and disappointing since the Ewing era ended. Steve Nash has made me into a Suns fan. He is the antithesis of what Marbury is about. Nash is the ultimate team player and makes everyone on his team better. After listening to the interview, I am so impressed with his maturity, wisdom and wit. He is a true role model for our kids.
Greetings from Valencia (Spain): I came across this fantastic interview browsing in the Santa Clara University site. As we say in Spain: "when he was born, they broke the mold" which means he is really a unique kind of basketball player and person. I hope with all my heart Steve will win the Championship in 2008, 2009 or whenever. He deserves it.
I have been a Steve Nash fans since his first days at Santa Clara. (I actually went to school with him for awhile.) I saw his first game against San Jose State University. This amazing freshman point guard comes on the court and literally takes command of the game. I was in wowed. I knew that he was something special to the game of basketball. His free throw percentage in college was about 96% (amazing!) Why? Because after practice he would stay and throw 100 extra free throws, just to get a little bit better. My brother called into a local bay area sports radio show to ask the host, "Hey, what do think they chances are of Steve Nash making it in the NBA?" The host laughed and said, "He'll never make it!" and hung up on my brother. True story. I bet he is eating his words now! It is so cool to see someone with his work ethic and humbleness actually excel in the NBA. Hats off to you Steve Nash - you deserve an NBA title!
You can watch this interview over and over again! It is really inspirational!
Great Interview! Steve Nash is such a hero and inspiration to many including myself. I am proud to call him a fellow Canadian! Best of luck on winning the CHAMPIONSHIP Steve. You deserve it!!!
Steve Nash makes you beleive the NBA has a future. The vacuum from Michael Jordan's departure is easing up a bit. I believe it is ironic that the NBA seems to have a a diversity problem. The non-American players have brought more attention to the NBA from a broader fan base.
Steve Nash is the best, he is an amazing player and i love him!! Nash - my true hero!
I am a Santa Clara alum and a 30 year mens basketball season ticket holder. Steve is such a great person and I am honored to be a fellow Bronco!
GO SUNS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A fantastic interview..what an inspiration to everyone. Steve Nash - a great team player.
We are truly blessed to have this high regarded person and a grreat player in Phx. He is what I look for in a person. I will make my sons watch this inteview as well to let him know that talent is not what makes you, is what you make oout of your talent.
I was fortunate enough to have attended Santa Clara during Steve's collegiate years and am truly amazed with what he's become. He was always a gentleman and a credit to our university (Most people don't know this, but he repaid his scholarship once he turned pro). Even though I'm a die hard G-State fan, I hope Steve can get that championship he rightly deserves!! He's everything that's right with sports!
Im not so sure people really understand how special Nash is to the league. He's certainly the best point guard, maybe ever, and he's going to change the game back to the era of beautiful plays rather than meaningless dunks and uncreative play. ps I saw Nash at a golf course on a hot summer day in the off season. Everyone is drinking beer on the patio after a round of golf... Nash is drinking cranberry juice. My friends and I were shaking our heads.
Rose: Because Michael had what? Nash: Everything. Steve says it straight and to the point. But I also love how Steve said that he tries to be unflappable. Genius answer.
PLEASE PLAY FOR CANADA NEXT YEAR (FIBA) STEVE!
If the Suns can pull off a title during Nash's rein, he will probably go down as the greatest point guard ever, and deservedly so. I hope players look up to him at point guard like everyone did Magic. That would make the game of basketball that much better.
Nash is just being Nash ladies and gents. We are blessed to have him play in Phx,Az. I've been a SUNS fan for life, we've had Kevin Johnson, Jason Kidd, but Steve Nash is extra special. you heard what he's all about. great player, better person.. everybody witness as the Suns win it all in 2008.
30 years ago it was Jerry West making the people around him better. Today, it's Steve Nash. West was the epitome of NBA basketball then, Nash is now. Today, West is the symbol of the NBA. Wonder what Steve's long term impact will be on this league? What a pleasure to watch this man play the game the way he does. Stay healthy Steve. God Bless.
most impressive interview - it gives you the shivers and makes you feel good (and a bit jealous) regarding super talented people. I will try to make my son watch it - it is about drive and hard work and how to get the most out of what you have in you. His comments about not being the strongest, the fastest, or jumping the highest, but still using everything you have and making it too the peak of the game is something anyone in any field can learn from.
I Am Just Like Steve Nash i started playing at 6 and stooped at age 10 and at age 12 i started playing again now Steve Nash is my favorite player and I play just like him And the Suns Is my favorite team (i live in Orlando though) and Steve Nash Has inspired me to go play for my high school GO SUNS!!!!!!!!! NASH YOUR THE BEST
Very humble man, smart, and articulate. Can't wait for the season to start.
When I listen to Steve Nash speak, he's like a cross between Bill Bradley and Henry David Thoreau - highly intelligent, humble, and with the ability to make himself well-understood. What a great role model so talented, yet so down-to-earth. Nash is a great departure from nearly every other celebrity around who is either unintelligable, on a course for self-destruction, or full of themselves. Watching this interview one can see a master at the top of his craft metaphorically explainining life through preparing for his game, and with humility yet deep-seeded confidence explain how he arrived.
Great interview...We need more Steve Nash's in sports.
Steve Nash "rock!" He put the fun back into basketball. Not since MJ and Magic left, has the game been so entertaining to watch. Thank you Charlie for having a truly inspiring intereview with one of basketball's finest. Steve, hope you get a ring this year, no one deserves it more.
*good
steve,,, thanks for being a goo model.. God bless
A great interview! In addition to being a great player, he is so well-spoken and articulate. Watching the Suns is so fun due mostly to #13. I can't wait for the season to start.
Amazing he picked the game up at the late age of 13. It is probably the world's most competitive sport and he still reached the top! I hope he writes a book about his journey..
Wow! What a great example to "learn about life". What he says and how he approaches life is such a great tribute to himself and his family. The basketball "thing" is truly second to the "life" thing. Thanks for what you bring to us...people who love, if you will life!
this was a great interview, with a great player i love Steve!!!!!!! :)
this was a great interview with an absolutely great guy!! cant wait for the suns to start!! gooooooo suns!!!!
A good solid, really interesting interview from a basketball perspective. Nash is very active environmentally - I would have like to have heard more about his off-the-court interests.
I love Steve Nash...! Just the humble way he expreses himself all the time. Love his talent and loved this conversation. Players like him make me love and keep watching basketball.
I LOVE STEVEN JOHN NASH!!!!!!!
Thank you Charlie. A great Canadian kid. Skillful, hard working, intellegent and articulate. He does his fellow Canucks proud!
Always interesting when Charlie Rose has thoughtful and insigtful athletes on the show; Nash is a riveting player to watch - and has a lot to say about his process -- great segment Charlie
I like Nash's Mrs. Brady haircut.
The "nack". not an easy skill to aquire. Steve has it,knows it and teaches it well. Thank you brother Dan, who has taught me to watch this man and learn from him. You are a gifted man Dan, who knows how to find the skill in people and translate that to others. This is a gifted and well deserved skill and I hope you move forward. You are a human resource. Bubba
An AMAZING player...like watching the GlobeTrotters.....an asset to any team...THE MAN of the NBA today!!!!
It's always an inspiration to listen to such talented people. Thank you Charlie. ps Kelly Slater is an 8 x world champion, he is regarded as the best surfer ever.
