This is no finer sports role model. Steve inspires me more every time I listen to him speak. An incredible player and man, who we are lucky to get to watch! There is NO ONE in the league who deserves a championship more.

Had the pleasure of watching Steve play recently in Phoenix and he is truly the most exciting athlete I have seen live. He steals the show and brings everyone around him into the game. He's a truly amazing athlete and I wish him and the Suns the best this season.

Nash is a very good point guard, one of the best, but all time? Ever? I think you kids are forgetting about Magic Johnson, John Stockton, Kevin Johnson, Mo Cheeks, Jason Kidd, Isiah Thomas, etc. He's the hot hand right now, but he averages less than 1 steal a game, his defense is water. Is it his time to shine? Yes. Did he deserve the MVP? Maybe, but point guards before him have put up better numbers (Stockton) and never got it.

Being a basketball fan in NYC and growing up rooting for the Knicks has been so frustrating and disappointing since the Ewing era ended. Steve Nash has made me into a Suns fan. He is the antithesis of what Marbury is about. Nash is the ultimate team player and makes everyone on his team better. After listening to the interview, I am so impressed with his maturity, wisdom and wit. He is a true role model for our kids.

Greetings from Valencia (Spain): I came across this fantastic interview browsing in the Santa Clara University site. As we say in Spain: "when he was born, they broke the mold" which means he is really a unique kind of basketball player and person. I hope with all my heart Steve will win the Championship in 2008, 2009 or whenever. He deserves it.

I have been a Steve Nash fans since his first days at Santa Clara. (I actually went to school with him for awhile.) I saw his first game against San Jose State University. This amazing freshman point guard comes on the court and literally takes command of the game. I was in wowed. I knew that he was something special to the game of basketball. His free throw percentage in college was about 96% (amazing!) Why? Because after practice he would stay and throw 100 extra free throws, just to get a little bit better. My brother called into a local bay area sports radio show to ask the host, "Hey, what do think they chances are of Steve Nash making it in the NBA?" The host laughed and said, "He'll never make it!" and hung up on my brother. True story. I bet he is eating his words now! It is so cool to see someone with his work ethic and humbleness actually excel in the NBA. Hats off to you Steve Nash - you deserve an NBA title!

Steve Nash makes you beleive the NBA has a future. The vacuum from Michael Jordan's departure is easing up a bit. I believe it is ironic that the NBA seems to have a a diversity problem. The non-American players have brought more attention to the NBA from a broader fan base.

I was fortunate enough to have attended Santa Clara during Steve's collegiate years and am truly amazed with what he's become. He was always a gentleman and a credit to our university (Most people don't know this, but he repaid his scholarship once he turned pro). Even though I'm a die hard G-State fan, I hope Steve can get that championship he rightly deserves!! He's everything that's right with sports!

Im not so sure people really understand how special Nash is to the league. He's certainly the best point guard, maybe ever, and he's going to change the game back to the era of beautiful plays rather than meaningless dunks and uncreative play. ps I saw Nash at a golf course on a hot summer day in the off season. Everyone is drinking beer on the patio after a round of golf... Nash is drinking cranberry juice. My friends and I were shaking our heads.

If the Suns can pull off a title during Nash's rein, he will probably go down as the greatest point guard ever, and deservedly so. I hope players look up to him at point guard like everyone did Magic. That would make the game of basketball that much better.

30 years ago it was Jerry West making the people around him better. Today, it's Steve Nash. West was the epitome of NBA basketball then, Nash is now. Today, West is the symbol of the NBA. Wonder what Steve's long term impact will be on this league? What a pleasure to watch this man play the game the way he does. Stay healthy Steve. God Bless.

most impressive interview - it gives you the shivers and makes you feel good (and a bit jealous) regarding super talented people. I will try to make my son watch it - it is about drive and hard work and how to get the most out of what you have in you. His comments about not being the strongest, the fastest, or jumping the highest, but still using everything you have and making it too the peak of the game is something anyone in any field can learn from.

When I listen to Steve Nash speak, he's like a cross between Bill Bradley and Henry David Thoreau - highly intelligent, humble, and with the ability to make himself well-understood. What a great role model so talented, yet so down-to-earth. Nash is a great departure from nearly every other celebrity around who is either unintelligable, on a course for self-destruction, or full of themselves. Watching this interview one can see a master at the top of his craft metaphorically explainining life through preparing for his game, and with humility yet deep-seeded confidence explain how he arrived.

Wow! What a great example to "learn about life". What he says and how he approaches life is such a great tribute to himself and his family. The basketball "thing" is truly second to the "life" thing. Thanks for what you bring to us...people who love, if you will life!
