I agree with the above... Thank you for the in depth interview with Dr. Ho. I am concerned that after 10 years of Dr. Ho's "cocktails" that more people are dying from the regimen's HARSH effects on the body. More people are having kidney failure - having to go on dialysis and liver failure is a major issue. In addition there has been little movement in the progression towards a cure. I think it would be helpful and interesting to do more research on the whole epidemic without fearing any reprisals. There are a lot of credible "alternative" (dare I say denialist) and contradicting views out there. Why is it that I can be HIV positive here in the US and NEGATIVE in Australia? And why doesn't Great Britain use the same criteria as us? Why are there different standards applied? Also, why aren't white women from the ages of 25 -34 contracting the disease (Hillary's recent comments...) - and white men for that matter? Do you mean to tell me that black men on the "down-low" are only having unprotected sex with their black / latina girlfriends and NOT any of their white girlfriends? This seems very unlikely. And one more inconsistency: why hasn't "HIV-2" spread throughout the world? Why is it strictly affecting Africans in Africa? Have black people evolved in a different way? Is that even possible? Where is the money / funding coming from for the Aaron Diamond Aids Research - Big Pharma? The Government? There are a lot of websites and DVD's out there that are credible and ask some hard questions. I am learning that even questioning these ideals is similar to blasphemy / heresy. To me, the whole notion of HIV / AIDS is a natural occurring condition brought on by a reckless lifestyle, wearing the body down by exposing it to lots of other people's microbes and bacteria, malnutrition, high levels of stress, etc. Also the fact that "28 + diseases" are under one umbrella and are indicators of "AIDS" - is well, insane. Remember the illness, "Walking Pneumonia"? I would hazard a guess that this once common affliction has been renamed to PCP and will give someone an opportunistic disease b/c the person has "HIV" or "AIDS". If you care to know what some of them are, feel free to write me back and I will forward them to you. Thanks! ps. I had been diagnosed with "HIV" back in May of '02. Supposedly my version of "HIV" is very difficult to treat.... I have been on two very harsh regimens - both of which my body / mind could not withstand. Quite frankly the meds made me feel sick - when I was feeling perfectly healthy! I stopped both times and have been "cocktail-free" for 10 months now. My health is fine, my "numbers" (whatever that means) are stable. I see friends who are on meds losing weight, dealing with fatigue and general depression. pps What concerns me is that the HIV/AIDS treatment model is now being extrapolated to other chronic / deadly illnesses (Cancer for one). Meaning, manage the disease, don't focus on finding a cure, prolong people's lives - AT ANY COST to their health / financial ability... all for the benefit of who(m)? Big pharma, the Doctors, The Laboratories, etc.... ppps One more thing... try to get your hands on a Western Blot instruction kit from a laboratory or a hospital. It will tell you it is NOT to be used as a tool for diagnosis... If you dig into the above, you would be surprised!!!
