Chan, somehow I think the interview was recorded a while ago, hence no dicuss about US Open.

Dear Charlie Rose Show:
To have Mr. Feinstein on the program
the week of the U.S. Open @ Oakmont and
not preview the tournament goes against
the journalistic priority of timeliness.
Mr. Feinstein is on the program because he is a good guest and to promote his book. However, he perhaps didn't get as much of
a chance to go over more than the general summary of the book on Q-school, because
the conversation ended up being a lot about Tiger Woods.
Finally, I would disagree with
Mr. Feinstein on one of his points. Yes,
the physical execution of golf shots solely lies on each individual player. No, there
are no 1-on-1 physical confrontations in
golf like most other sports.
But, the way a tournament sets up a
golf course is a "defense," to present a challenge to the professional players
and make sure scoring isn't too easy
for them.
Perhaps the aforementioned things happened in the parts of the interview
that didnâ??t make the air due to a lack
of time.
This would be for me, more the reason
to focus sharply on the U.S. Open and delve some more into the book itself.
Sincerely,
e. chan
