I enjoyed the coupled interviews of Von Donnersmark and Nuland when broadcast Friday, I managed to hear the Nuland portion rebroadcast today, and I have listened to it again on this website. As a retired teacher who now has an anti-aging/wellness business, I greatly appreciate hearing converstions like Dr. Nuland's and those in the science series. Thank you, Charlie, for bringing enlightening and enabling conversation to us.

The Charlie Rose program of Mary 18, 2007 was one of the most inspiring of many I stay up very late in Des Moines to watch. The odessy of the young filmmaker of the best foreign film of last year plus the wise advice of Dr. Stewart Nuland seemed at first an odd mix, but was not. The importance of art and human connections was clear in both. Whether the symbiotic coupling was exceptional luck or wise scheduling, thanks to Charlie Rose, his editors, and sponsors. Those of us willing to stay up late to watch wake up better informed and often actually wiser than we were the day before.

Having just lost my Father, being in my own confused state and funk about it - and fear of my own mortality, although I consider myself to be pretty spiritual and believe that life is eternal - my father's passing callenged that within me and am in search of more of an understanding on the human level. I just happened to come across this interview on PBS but didn't catch it from the beginning. I was looking online for the book references and only remembered the title when I came across this site and hit the jackpot. I have enjoyed and valued everything that I've seen on Charlie Rose shows...he is one of the many reasons why I support PBS.

Dr. Nuland strikes me a a very good man as well a a very wise man. I could listen to him all day. I saw the Charle Rose show last night (5/18/2007) and then looked the show up today on the web as I wanted the book refernces. To my delight, I was able to watch the interview again. Thanks. And kudos to Charlie and the staff for the fascinating group of people they have on the program. A few more scientists (or, even a mathematician) would be great. Thanks again.

Like the new site with few exceptions. Those exceptions are in priority order: 1. choppiness of video streaming 2. bland lack of color integrating the background with the topic areas of the site. While the latter is a matter of opinion, the former is clearly not and is indicative of a bandwidth problem.
