I have a son just graduating from medical school, and two other sons in graduate school, and I think it is so tragic that these young men, who must have worked so hard to train in their professions, had to give it all up because their country is falling apart. And the US government has been a big part of that collapse. It is important to hear the human stories of individual families, and you cannot help but think of your own children. It is such a tragedy and a waste and it breaks my heart that my country has recklessly pushed our way in, screaming democracy! We have bashed them over the head with "democracy" until they can hardly find the pieces of their economy , their homes,or their hopes for a future!

As someone in touch with Iraqis and members of the Iraqi press from time to time I thought this was interesting.

These men are not in any way original. The only reason why commentators are praising them is because most are American and of course, completely ignorant and clueless about World Affairs. These men don't seem competent to me as an Arab and furthermore, two of them are of Kurdish and not of Arab descent. I found this interview useless and uninteresting. What these incompetent corrupt men do not get or failed to mention is that Iraqis will never succumb to foreign influence. Nor will Iraqis allow the kurds to take advantage of the situation by establishing a kurdish state in Arab land. These cowards want the USA to remain forever and do all the dirty work for them because they dont have the guts to rule themselves. Well sorry losers, We Iraqis and Muslims will not allow you lechers to rule us.

Now it is December and the occupation of Iraq continues. Nothing has changed since May when this brilliant conversation aired. No, our government doesn't listen to the people of Iraq, to intelligent voices. They do what they want no matter what. How many more have died, been maimed, lost their homes, had their families destroyed? Someone before me said the US made a mess with good intentions. I don't think there were good intentions, but if there were, it's been many long years and many opportunities to change course and they have not. Somebody is making hay, but it's definitely not the Iraqi people.

I am an Iraqi national by origin, but a British citizen and journalist. Thank you for voicing these voices.. I wish more people would sit up and listen to those who have their country's best interests at heart - and not a personal agenda in mind

You MUST interview these three brilliant men again!!! Their honest, direct, intelligent insights are straight forward and true. These are invaluable, and extremely rare insights that can help both Countries to crack the barrier of our focus on singular challenges that are making things worse. The US cannot stop the chaos without getting our "egos" out of the way and listening to and understanding the insights of these men. American people are desperately looking for a humane way OUT of the chaos and killing. I can envision the beginning of this needed change IF our government gave value to these men's brilliant insights, and acted on their ideas of change. With all our power, military and top advisers we continue to make things worse in Iraq. PLEASE interview these three many more times and maybe, hopefully someone in power will listen! Your effortss will help millions. I pray they will listen!

This 20 minute segment truly deserves the adjective "awesome". All 3 had unique backgrounds that provided more insight into the current situation. It would be a service to viewers, and other MSM in particular, if you could host a periodic roundtable forum like this. Perhaps it could be monthly or more if circumstances required. Are there any female journalists and older journalists who could provide other perspectives as well? It would be interesting to have Iraqi journalists on the show along with some of the current MSM folks who are on the ground in Iraq. Any variety of native reporters from Iraq (especially outside of Baghdad) or the surrounding countries; with their direct knowledge and personal opinions would be enlightening. Thanks again and please repeat!

Sadly, many of us have written off the current Iraqi Parliament and its leaders; they just can't seem to rise above their emotions. However, the interview with the "thirtysomething" Iraqi journalists was encouraging. Surely, they have thought of what might bring security and reasonable unity to Iraq. An hour long conversation with them on this topic would be much appreciated.

Great show, why aren't we seeing more of this in the MSM? It's the first time I've seen people talking about Iraq that actually sound like they know what they are talking about.

AMAZING TRUTHS IN THIS!! I almost could not believe my ears! I have heard/read/etc. many facts about the Iraq War and it was all only either an opinion or a little slice of the overall truth. THIS INTERVIEW, for the first time ever, gave an overall understanding of mess the US has made, with good intentions, in Iraq! Also, finally some insite as to causes of these bloody, killing fields, and some areas to strongly improve upon, for us to gain enough success to actually, finally withdraw from their country. I pray some of the power people in our US Government hear this interview and value the opinions and advice of these three insightful, wise, knowledgeable, intelligent men who clearly understand Iraq's problems like our government never has! PLEASE interview them, together, again! They are amazing!

I agree with the sentiments of the above writer. I have often wondered if there has ever been a dialogue with the people of iraq rather than the expats who are now the decision makers. Very good journalism
