Connie said: Chuck Hagel seems to be saying the same thing Barack Obama is saying about the political environment of today. I agree, but more powerful than that, Hagel and Obama seem to be saying what the majority of Americans are saying.
Charlie, You badgered Senator Hagel into to stating that Obama was an okay guy..... Good grief! You are using your show to pump Obama... if you know it, it's disappointing... if you don't, GOOD GRIEF! I'll watch again maybe..after the primary is over... and Hillary is the candidate... and I truly hope she declines your offer to appear.... You'll have her come just to say Obama is a good guy.... and that's not yet determined! Joan Barry
This was a very good interview Charlie. Chuck Hagel seems to be saying the same thing Barack Obama is saying about the political environment of today. This is a defining moment where American's are ready for change and willing to fight for it. Chuck also seemed to lean toward Obama when asked about endorsing anyone. I sincerely hope Chuck and Mayor Bloomberg end up endorseing Obama. It would be great if they could do so before April 22 PA primary. Maybe Pennsylvania voters can END this for Hillary.
During the interview with Sen. Hagel, Charlie said that McCain called for Rumsfeld's resignation. Two days ago on MSNBC, Norah O'Donnell made the same claim. And yesterday, she clarified her statement, noting "Yesterday, I suggested that John McCain had called for Secretary Rumsfeld's resignation in the past. In fact, what McCain had said repeatedly was that he lacked confidence in Rumsfeld. But he did not directly call for Rumsfeld to step down back when Rumsfeld was still in office." McCain publicly called for Rumsfeld's resignation, or issue a similar clarification to the frequently cited "fact" that McCain called for Rumsfeld's resignation.
