I didn't have the patience to stick with this interview. I know the movie is the reason for Clint to be with Charlie, but I didn't get the feeling we were ever going to get to something about Clint himself. These movie interviews are so shallow, we don't get to learn anything substantive about the person interviewed. Also, the webmaster ought to know that two of the most recent dates shown for Clint are actually interviews of Peter O'Tool.

A.t'Serstevens (1885-1974), French travel writer. Old time friend of Abel Gance. One of his novels (1955): La Grande Plantation. Dedicated to James Norman Hall. They were neighboors in Papeete in 46 where t'Ser lived 3 years. Novel takes place in Tahiti in 1880's. Similar love story with elia Kazan's Last Tycoon about a coton plantation adventurer. Mr. Clint maybe could buy this book & have some of his movie buddies work a future scenario. The Sentimental Vegabond (1923), another novel of t'Serstevens, On the Road kind of, was translated by Whittaker Chambers in the 30'. Charlie Rose, Sir, you're home sweet home with your show. anouvel@yahoo.fr Paris
