don't you think mr. erdogun is contradicting himslef when on the one hand he says that turkey is prepared to resolve the armenian genoside issue by opening the archives or inviting scholars to investigate other archives etc.. YET at the same time he already seems to know what that outcome would be! how is that possible? is he relying on his country's geopolitical muscle to secure such an outcome? how absurd, illogical if not ignorant of him to make such a statement! it would be great if charlie rose would accept the challenge and facilitate the process by inviting a panel of independent historians internationally to address and clarify the issue not so much for mr. erdogan but for millions of turkish citizens who are kept in the dark about their past. turkey's economy may continue to grow but without dealing with the burden of their collective history they will not evolve as a culture. a handful like pamuk may have faced the burden of their history, otherwise they could not be able to create, but they are too few and not loud enough to free mental enslavement of 70,0000 million of their countrymen. thank you.

      Dear Mr. Rose,

I am writing this comment as a young Turkish woman who lives in the US.

I wish you asked to Erdogan why he and he supporters doesnâ??t allow any â??westernâ?? clothing, sports or ideas in Turkey.

I wish you asked him how his grandson becomes a US citizen while he curses US administration when he is in Turkey.

I wish you asked him why as a person who represents 80 million Turkish people, he canâ??t speak English.

I wish you asked him how he felt when he cursed Ataturk 15 years ago and than apologized from Turkish people before he elected.

I wish you asked him how come terrorism came up during the elections in Turkey.

I wish you asked him why people are not free to practice their religion in Turkey while he is talking about â??freedom of religionâ??.

I wish I wrote this letter to you before your interview.

I want you to understand that I am very educated person. I came to the US because I am sick and tired about people like Erdogan.

Turkey is such a beautiful and unique country and I love my country, unfortunately I am ashamed of Turkeyâ??s president.

      Kindly Regards,

      Dear Charlie,

We watched your interview with the Turkish PM Mr. Erdogan with interest. His words in the case of the Armenians were courageous and sincere. There are, in fact, a wealth of evidence in the US State Department archives, Library of Congress records and Hyde park presidential archives, not to mention the British and the Turkish archives refuting the Armenian claims. Furthermore,in May 19 1984 69 most prominent US scholars published a declaration in the New York Times and Washington Post warning the US Congress against any passage of the so-called "Armenian Genocide."

We challenge the Armenians to show the world one single reliable evidence and one single non-Armenian historian claiming the validity of the their allegations.

Today, the Armenians curry favor with jewish poeple to establish a parallel between the well-documented Jewish holocaust and their totally false genocide claims. The Jewish poeple in the Nazi Germany did not kill one single German nor did they engage any subversive activities towards their country. The Armenians, on the other hand, starting from the late 19th century, for decades, engaged in armed rebellions, insurrections and terrorism against their own country, the Ottoman Empire. They commited blood-curdling attrocities on civilian Turkish population.

Ironically, today the Armenians try to win favor from Jewish people; yet, in Hitler Germany they were an active supporters of the extermination policy of the Jews in the concentration camps. In 1936, The Armenian paper Hairenik carried the following statement: "Sometimes it is difficult to eradicate these poisonous elements (the Jews) when they have struck deep roots like a chronic disease, and when it becomes necessary for a people(the Nazi) to eradicate them in an uncommon method these attempts are regarded as revolutionary. During a surgical operation the flow of blood is a natural thing. Under such conditions dictatorship seem to have the role of a savior." Thereupon, the Armenians set up a provisional government in Berlin, declared themselves "Aryan", and subscribed to Hitler's Racist superiority movement. They formed an Army of 20,000-strong and contributed to Hitler's Whermacht to support the Holocaust. This is another betrayal. During WWI they had back-stabbed the Turks, and in WW II they betrayed the Jewish people by helping Hitler send the Jews to the gas chambers.

To associate the well-documented Jewish Holocaust with the spurious Armenian allegations is an insult to the memories of the 6-million Jews who perished in the most senseless crime of humankind.

      Dear Mr. Rose,

I enjoy watching your show often, but I was surprised to see that unlike your lively interviews of other guests, you treated Mr. Erdogan with velvet gloves, avoiding any hard questions and follow-ups. You almost perfunctorily brought up the question of freedom of speech and Orhan Pamuk. You allowed Prime Minister Erdogan to give an uninterrupted message of denial of the Armenian Genocide, accepted as it is by most European countries and Holocaust scholars. This, at a time when a resolution to officially "recognize" this Genocide is before the American Congress, is an attempt of a foreign ruler to sway American public opinion. You, who have had guests like Peter Balakian on your show in the past, should have known better, and should have responded strongly. I hope that you will use another show to allow more factual information to be broadcast.

      Sincerely,

Denying the Armenian Genocide is like denying the Holocaust. Documents? Mon dieu.
