A discussion about oil and alternative energy sources
Keywords:
A discussion about oil and alternative energy sources with Vijay Vaitheeswaran of "The Economist" and author of "Power to the People" and Daniel Yergin, Chairman and co-founder of Cambridge Energy Research Associates.

The sight below has some hype in it,but it has a lot of good information on the Bakken oilfield in Montana,N.Dakota, Saskatchewan and Manitoba Canada. Somewhere between 5 and 500 billion barrels of recoverable oil on land and mostly in the USA. Forget offshore drilling. They have over 90 drilling rigs going in the Bakken now. The real oil find is that oil you DON'T use. Efficiency gets you for 10 cents what new oil does for a dollar. Plus you don't have to go to war to fight anybody for it. Every dollar of efficiency or even home owned oil raises the value of the dollar which lowers the cost of a barrel of oil. Check out this site. The fed should be raising interest rates in support of the dollar. http://us.mc655.mail.yahoo.com/mc/showMessage?fid=Inbox&sort=date&order=down&startMid=0&.rand=1269446941&midIndex=0&mid=1_363343_AC4JDUwAALctSGZnnAToYXl1%2F7g&eps=&f=1&nextMid=1_362869_ADUJDUwAACo6SGZaLwryZmWCjrA&m=1_363343_AC4JDUwAALctSGZnnAToYXl1%2F7g,1_362869_ADUJDUwAACo6SGZaLwryZmWCjrA,1_362198_ADkJDUwAANtHSGZBDAhvWGz6fug,1_361538_ADoJDUwAAL9MSGYB6QJQwjRHaak,1_360318_AC8JDUwAADAjSGWPlQApBWn4OsE,1_360843_ADkJDUwAAIEkSGWoEwq3Fg0SCqk,
If you really want to have a conversation about oil, you should choose guests unlike Yergin, who has been consistently WRONG when predicting the behavior of supply and price of oil within the past 10 years. consistently WRONG
These gentlemen speak on our energy future, mention new energy hopes, and note a few fears. Mr. Vaitheeswaran highlights his concern for people who have yet never seen an energy supply. And I wonder: If I mount an efficient generator upon my stationary exercise bike, how many hours of peddling would it take to "sweat out" a one day supply of average household electricity use? Alternatively, could I generate $10 worth of electricity in one hour? (Yes, I know, I should try it and find out! LOL) Perhaps someone already knows, and would like to make that info public once more. Thank you.
