A discussion about "The New Yorker's endorsement of John Kerry for president
Keywords:
A conversation with David Remnick, editor of "The New Yorker", and Adam Gopnik, a staff writer for "The New Yorker", about the magazine's decision to endorse John Kerry for president, the magazine's first endorsement of a presidential candidate in its 80-year history. They also discuss the life and work of photographer Richard Avedon and his photo-documentary "Democracy".

Can we get a list of presidential endorsements by The New Yorker over the past 30 years?
Hello Mr. Rose. I highly respect your show. I think many people hold you in very high regard. Because of this and your positive influence in our world, I'd like to ask you to consider endorsing Ron Paul for President. He is the last Constitutionalist candidate running in this year's race. His economic and foreign relation policies will greatly help our country and the world as well. He will bring our troops home. And many of us believe he is our last true hope to build Freedom in America, rather than Fascism (the direction it's been heading). Please support and endorse Ron Paul for President. Thank you. Camie (a volunteer for the Ron Paul campaign).
