Charlie Rose sucks. He drools before conservative guests and is composed during some liberal interviews. He is an arrogant jack ass.

I'm so sick and tired of Charlie Rose's conservative bias.

On the Charlie Rose show last night, Buckley offered a very good insight into the motivation for the US invading Iraq. Religion. A motivation, he noted, that was probably not understood by the Muslin extremists. As Mr. Rose pointed out, it was not religion, but an interest in oil and the establishment of a friendly state that were major motivating factors, dispite the bogus claims from the administration about WMD. But it would be wrong, Buckley went on to observe, to fail to note the importance of religion, in particular the religious fervor and arrogance of Bush and his administration in their disastrous pursuit of unrealistic and hugely costly goals. While the Muslin extremists are willing to blow themselves up in their struggle for what they believe, so too, the current administration has been willing to sacrifice Americans and many more Iraqis in pursuit of its flawed beliefs. The war is not a civil, or sensible dispute, in any way shape or form.
Thanks for stimulating the discussion.
