It is very important that you have the frontman of the most important band of the 1990's back on the program soon to discuss the state of music in America. In these troubled times in America, music needs to play a more central role and Trey has first hand experience as to how it may happen.

It's hard to explain the love I, we, feel for Trey and Phish. There is nothing better than seeing the joy in his big dog-face smile, it just brings me deep happiness, the concerts were magical. It's wonderful to hear him admit it became an excuse to go to a certain town and party, because that indeed is what it became. I truly wonder what those 30 year old stoners traveling show to show for years ,living off their parents' Visa card ,are doing now! Phish had to disband so they'd grow up. I understand and I LOVE you Trey Anastasio.

5 Stars? No no. How many different times, and how many different ways can a guy say - or be prompted to say - I'm moving on with my life? Pa-leeze. I'm hopeful that part II of this interview might reveal more about Trey and Phish, the man and the band. I suppose with re: to "the man," we learn from this interview that he knows how and when to say "enough is enough," which says a lot about him as a person. But enough is enough IS enough. We didn't really need 20 minutes of this, did we? 2 Stars.
