Carissimo Luciano: you make me cry when you sing... but also when you talk!!! You will be terribly missed... Why so soon???

I am always in awe of the people the Charlie Rose gets on his show and have noticed that often people say "No one has ever asked me that before" which is a credit to him, but watching this video and seeing Charlie talk about a tenor's appetite and what he wants to do before he draws his last breath, I have to stick to the thought that Charlie is a Horse's patutie. Yet, Pavarotti suffers him with grace and dignity. This is what made Pavarotti great. Grace, humility, passion and service to a great art from. He will be sorely missed. Hopefully he is singing now in front of the real St Peter and his one wish has come true.

I thought that the re-broadcast on Thirteen of "The Elixir of Love" was a brilliant stroke. The problem was that Charlie Rose introduced it and not only mispronounced Pavarotti's name but badly mangled the name of the opera. Come on Charlie - a little practice wouldn't hurt.

The Maestro leaves us and all he receives is a 30 minute rebroadcast from 2003? Forgive me, I am shocked.
