Troubled Soul 09/22/2007 03:12 AM Report
Who can watch this interview now (in 2007) and not hang their head in disappointment and sadness?
Thousands have died, thousands are misplaced, thousands permanently damaged physically and psychologically because of the Iraq War.
As someone who has served in the military and admires those in our armed services, I ask this: when will our country begin to critically question those who call for war?
Ajami played Charlie Rose like a fiddle. Such eloquent lies. Such sweet rhetoric. Such learned talk by so-called experts lulled America into believing that military aggression was not only noble, but absolutley necessary. Shame on Ajami.
I hope in the future that PBS and Mr. Rose will probe more deeply into the lies behind the liars. Yet, it appears Mr. Ajami continues to be a welcomed guest on Charlie Rose, enjoying a forum to influence public opinion in ways that should have ended long ago.
