I'm worried that we're starting something that we can't finish - Norman Mailer 29th Jan 2003. A very wise man. He and Chomsky and Vidal and many others that appeared on the show had that instinct. Mr Rose now of course has hindsight, but I wonder was he blinded by a sense of following what he thought was right, or by patriotism. Charlie your show is some of the best television the US and those like myself in the UK have ever experienced and I commend you on it. I admire you also. But I wonder how you of all people didnt see this thing in Iraq for what it was.
Mailer nailed Iraq before it happened.
