I'm a life-long democrat who resented the war. This interview is not for the fainthearted democrat.

Firstly and quickly, to the previous commenter, Biden does not sell out. That's almost an oxymoron. I've followed his policies for a long time - I'm afraid I can say now I've never known a more honest politician.

This interview is too complex to dissect in a mere comment box; it contains a hundred grains of truths laid out by Sen. Biden that would require several pages even to touch upon.

Biden's speeches here and his Senate Committee meetings everywhere, at that pre-war time, articulated with care and protected tirelessly the points of prudence in the face of this shamelessly imprudent administration.

However, morally Biden wasn't faultless either in this. I think he accepts that. Biden has admitted now that with hindsight he should have used his rational views in a more combative manner against the incompetent stance of the Administration (although I'm sure it wouldn't have mattered then, as the Reps aggressively controlled the policies in the WH and Congress).

He didn't make the further step of going against the government, only because he trusted the testimony of Colin Powell and CIA and especially Colin Powell about the existence of WMDs. Not at any point, was Biden close to being persuaded by Bush, Rumsfeld and Cheney.

Biden later, and of course now, came to lose all respect for the whole of this administration, and you can sense to this day he is genuinely angry at them for having made him trust them as having a sliver of principle. Watch one of his later striking bursts of disappointment in you tube.

By the time another person watches this video maybe Biden has already dropped from the nomination race. I hope strongly that it hasn't happened. We can't afford to lose such a candidate. The good people in the US and the World deserve him as leader, especially in these circumstances.

This is the interview made it very clear to me that Biden had sold out.
