Jon Stewart
An hour with the host of "The Daily Show" Jon Stewart
Keywords:
An hour conversation with Jon Stewart, the host of Comedy Central's "The Daily Show", about his career as a comedian and broadcaster, his Peabody Award for the show’s coverage of the 2000 Presidential elections and the role of comedy in politics.

This interview would have been much better if Charlie Rose hadn't been there. Charlie rarely let Jon finish a thought or a sentence, especially as the interview went on. A very tough hour to suffer through, but Jon Stewart is worth it. You don't have to like The Daily Show to appreciate Jon's brilliant observations and intelligent perspective. Especially interesting for Jon's remarks about how The Daily Show wouldn't work in wartime or bad times.
No, you are just being paranoid. He is not a Republican. Watch some political interviews and you'll get the idea.
38.03 in jon stewary says a 'repulican you wouldn't mind hugging' - charlies facial features and gulp gare priceless - is he a republican, or at least libertarian leaning republican? Earlier charlie tries to locate jon's political leanings and in the process gives away his own. I respect you charlie, you're one of, if not, the best on tv at what you do, but it breaks my heart to think you may be closer to republican than democrat.
I love to hear good, relevant conversation and your show offers something unique in this realm. This may be tacky to comment on a comment but the one left by Larry Flaten I am in wholehearted agreement with! Couldn't say it better myself. I would love to see you move your show into real-world time with lesser known but just as important people to learn their comments about our world. I also never miss your show. Thank you.
Mr. Rose I have a great deal of respect for you, the thing is you are totally out of touch with what is really going on in your country. You need to get a little distance from Bill Gates, Warren Buffet and your other billionare buds. Try interviewing some college students, some blue collar americans, Some senior citizens, ask them about wages, skyrocketing cost of healthcare, the skyrocketing cost of college. It is OK to have a little contoversy on your show, a little less "namby pamby Tim Russertism" . It might propel you from being a great journalist to the Greatest Journalist. PS You interupt your guests far too much. You are very good but you could be the best, like you said to G. Shultz you are at that age when you can be candid, you may not quite be there but be candid anyway.I never miss your show.
This is one of Charlie's worst "interviews". He treats it like a political debate and constantly interrupts Jon instead of letting him finish a statement. Kind of annoying.
...albeit those who deserve it.
Jon Stewart's show is not exactly satire but laughs at other's expense. Comedians trying to be relevant is the real joke. What a horror.
