A follow-up is a must! The other, at this point uniquely American it seems, factor which I'd like explored is how these successful firms are shaping new forms of wealth creation and distribution. The level of philanthropy is astonishing as is the continued drive to providing free and open source technologies that are empowering individuals and entire communities. I'd like to hear more about the ethical basis upon which these huge commitments are based. Isn't the Google story symbolic of the dot com industry? It is the classic story of two guys looking for a better way to do something which blossoms into a billion dollar idea. They show that America is still the land of opportunity regardless of what the pundits claim.
