Paul Goldberger, Barry Bergdoll, Phyllis Lambert
An hour discussion about architect Mies van der Rohe
Keywords:
An hour panel discussion about the talent and career of 20th century architect Mies van der Rohe with Barry Bergdoll, co-organizer of Mies in Berlin at the Museum of Modern Art, Phyllis Lambert, Director of the Canadian Center for Architecture, and Paul Goldberger, architecture critic for "The New Yorker". They discuss the legacy of van der Rohe, who revolutionized the American city skyline with his signature steel and glass box international-style structures. They also talk about the two exhibitions of Mies' work showing simultaneously at the Museum of Modern Art and the Whitney Museum in New York City.

you and Mr.Joel Klein apparently don't remember why it is extremely difficult to get rid of bad teachers. It is because we couldn't protect our teachers from the right wing fundamentalists and other crackpots who have a strangle hold on this country, and would fire someone who refused to teach their dictates if it were easy. Instead of whining about unions, recognize that teachers MUST have the freedom to teach without fear and the by product is a few really bad teachers, a small price to pay for the protection of our good teachers.
I would be interested in knowing more about the design services provided by Mr. van der Rohe's firm. Thanks! www.designpresentation.com
Babble. I am sure they are all smart people -- I know Goldberger's work -- but this talk doesn't go anywhere. Just babble.
