see how excited Polanski gets when talking about making movies at the end. he leans foreword and talks passionately for the first time. everything else is quite awkward. Interesting hour.

The only pattern I noticed in his films is that in my two favorites, the women are subjected to violence by the very men who should be protecting them. He clearly takes protection of his family very seriously considering the tragedies in his past, and I believe he is right to follow his instincts.
