Karyn Rachtman, Pras, Canibus
A discussion about hip-hop
A conversation with Karyn Rachtman, executive producer at Interscope Records, and rappers Canibus and Pras about hip-hop and its ability to convey important messages to the masses. They also discuss its role in the political satire "Bulworth", on which they collaborated to make the soundtrack.

this was the 1st show ive seen where charlie didn't know WHAT he was talking about.
Intelligent music is general is never going to stay at the forefront of popularity, but it slips under the noses of stoopid masses once in a while. From Grandmaster Flash and Afrikaa Bambataa, to the Fugees and The Roots, "intelligent" rap has been around since the advent of rap, and will stay until rap and hip-hop go by the wayside.
And these rappers are still not known. That girl thought intelligent rap would flourish. :(
