am watching interview w/peter-g-peterson and his trying to explain how USA changed from a savings society to a consumer society. I suggest you interview Joel Kovel. But first you should watch his video: 'a really inconvenient truth' Then you and your viewers will know and be informed on how to change.

The interview with C.Rose was right on. I live in Santa Rosa,Cal and have three sons. They each worked at the Redwood Empire Ice Arena -the rink Charles Schultz owns. I knew Sparky since 1973 -were as when My boys played ice hockey there. In 1977 and 1978 I was the Jr Hockey President there and had to meet with Sparky for Ice Time for the Hockey Club. I found Sparky a very quiet man-almost to be a loner. But a very nice gentilman. He knew my sons extremly well -as my son Sean always played hockey with Sparky's old son Monty. There was something that a lot of people did not know of Sparky -he was very giving. My middle son had a friend who was dieing of cancer -a terrible bout with jaw and facial cancer. Brian (middle son) played professional baseball after college but always skated at the rink after he discontinued his ball playing days. Sparky knew Brian when he worked at the Warm Puppy -the diner at the rink when working while going to high school. Well this young fellow with the facial cancer had one last possible proceedure to possible stop the cancer. Sparky heard from Brian and Sparky told Brian that anonoosly donated over $60,000 for the fellows operation. Now that is the Sparky I knew. Yes he was a tickler about the ice arena -such as telling some younsters to maybe stop kicking the seats out in the rink. He has abeautiful arena --so why not tell the younsters to stop damageing the seats. I have other stories also over the years that I knew Sparky but I will not go into it here. Ijust wanted to say that the interview was wonderful. Sparky now has been dead for now 5 years. His senior HOCKEY TOURNMENT every summer for a week is still going strong. I and my wife have been involved in it since the outset. My boys now skate in the tournment both beingnow 40 years old and older. VERY GOOD INTERVIEW CHARLEY ROSE

Yes, please, correct the spelling of "Schulz". The related video from 2/14/2000 is correct.
