William F. Buckley died on February 27, 2008. Buckley was an American author and conservative commentator. He founded the political magazine National Review in 1955, and hosted the television show Firing Line from 1966 until 1999.

William F. Buckley Jr.

William F. Buckley Jr. is the Editor-at-Large and founder of the "National Review".

Buckley was the host of the television show "Firing Line," for more than 30 years. His newspaper column, "On the Right," is syndicated to more than 300 newspapers.

He is the author of more than 40 books, including of a series of novels featuring the character of CIA agent Blackford Oakes, along with several books on writing, speaking, history, politics and sailing. His most recent books are "Let Us Talk of Many Things: The Collected Speeches" and the novel, "Elvis in the Morning."
