Karl Christian Rove is an American government official and political strategist. He is Deputy Chief of Staff to President George W. Bush, and has headed the Office of Political Affairs, the Office of Public Liaison, and the White House Office of Strategic Initiatives. Rove accepted a position in the Bush administration as Senior Advisor to the President in 2001.
Rove's election campaign clients have included Bush in both 2000 and 2004 presidential elections, Senator John Ashcroft (1994), Bill Clements (1886 Texas gubernatorial election), and Phil Gramm (1982 House and 1984 Senate elections).
