Jill Abramson

Jill Abramson is the current managing editor of "The New York Times". Prior, she spent many years as a reporter in Washington, D.C., writing for both "The New York Times" and "The Wall Street Journal".

With Jane Meyers, Abramson coauthored Strange Justice: The Selling of Clarence Thomas, which detailed circumstances surrounding the confirmation hearings of Justice Clarence Thomas. Maureen Dowd would later write of having bonded with Abramson during that time.

Abramson testified in the perjury trial of Scooter Libby, United States v. Libby, on February 13, 2007. She was called as a defense witness to undercut the credibility of Judith Miller.
