A panel discussion about the impact of the 2006 midterm elections with Howard Fineman of "Newsweek", former Chief of Staff to President Reagan Ken Duberstein, Jill Abramson of the "The New York Times", and Mark Halperin of "ABC News".


Jill Abramson
Jill Abramson is the current managing editor of "The New York Times". Prior, she spent many years as a reporter in Washington, D.C., writing for both "The New York Times" and "The Wall Street Journal".
With Jane Meyers, Abramson coauthored Strange Justice: The Selling of Clarence Thomas, which detailed circumstances surrounding the confirmation hearings of Justice Clarence Thomas. Maureen Dowd would later write of having bonded with Abramson during that time.
Abramson testified in the perjury trial of Scooter Libby, United States v. Libby, on February 13, 2007. She was called as a defense witness to undercut the credibility of Judith Miller.
