Adam Posen s an American economist and a senior fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics (1997–present). He is scheduled to succeed C. Fred Bergsten as President of the Peterson Institute on January 1, 2013. From September 1, 2009 to August 31, 2012, he was a member of the Monetary Policy Committee of the Bank of England.
