Jed Perl has been covering the contemporary art scene for “The New Republic” since 1994. As a contributing editor for “Vogue”, Perl’s art pieces appeared in the magazine six times a year. He covered the art world for “The New Criterion” and his work has appeared in “Salmagundi”, “Partisan Review”, “The Threepenny Review”, “The Yale Review”, “The New York Times Book Review”, and “Elle”. He serves on the Board of Directors of “Modern Painters”, where he contributes essays and reviews. He received an Ingram Merrill Foundation Award in 1994.
Perl is author of “Eyewitness: Reports from an Art World in Crisis”, “Paris Without End: On French Art Since World War I”, “Gallery Going: Four Seasons in the Art World”, and “New Art City”.
