Dr. Marc Tessier-Lavigne is President of The Rockefeller University in New York City, where he also heads the Laboratory of Brain Development and Repair. Prior to joining Rockefeller, he directed research and drug discovery at Genentech, a leading biotechnology company. He is the recipient of numerous scientific prizes and honors, including being an elected member of the National Academy of Sciences and its Institute of Medicine.
