Stratton Sclavos is an American entrepreneur. He is the President, CEO and Board Chairman of VeriSign, an Internet data security company. VeriSign’s digital ID certificates make it possible for both consumers and merchants to prove they are who they claim to be. Sclavos has helped establish VeriSign as a global corporation. In January of 2006, VeriSign was added to the prestigious Standard and Poor’s 500 Index.
Over the past few years, Sclavos has been honored for his entrepreneurial leadership and management success by numerous organizations including Computerworld magazine, Morgan Stanley, Ernst and Young, and “Forbes” magazine. He also sits on the President’s National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee (NSTAC) and the President’s Council of Advisors for Science and Technology.
