Dr. Abderrahim Foukara is the Washington Bureau Chief of Al Jazeera International. In 1999, Foukara worked as producer and reporter on the World, a co-production of the BBC. In 2001, Foukara continued to report for the BBC in London before finally joining Al-Jazeera in the Summer of 2002 as a Washington-based reporter. Early in 2003, he moved to New York where he ran the Al-Jazeera United Nations office.
