Turki bin Faisal al-Saud
Turki bin Faisal al-Saud, most commonly referenced as Turki al Faisal is the former President of Saudi Arabia’s Al Mukhabarat Al A’amah, the Kingdom’s ambassador to the United Kingdom and Ireland, and served as Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to the United States from July 2005 until December 11, 2006. He is the youngest son of the late King Faisal, brother of foreign minister, Saud al Faisal, and a nephew of King Abdullah
In 1993, Turki helped mediate between warring factions in Afghanistan. In 2002, Turki was named ambassador to the United Kingdom and Ireland. In July 2005 it was announced that he would succeed Bandar bin Sultan as Saudi ambassador to the United States. He was replaced as ambassador to the United Kingdom and Ireland by his cousin, Prince Mohammed bin Nawaf bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud.
