Peter Libby, M.D., is the Chief of Cardiovascular Medicine at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston, Massachusetts. He also serves as the Mallinckrodt Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Libby’s current major research focus is the role of inflammation in vascular diseases such as atherosclerosis. He has received numerous awards and recognitions for his research accomplishments. His areas of clinical expertise include general and preventive cardiology.
Dr. Libby has published numerous research articles in medical journals including “Circulation”, “The Journal of Clinical Investigation”, “The Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences”, “The New England Journal of Medicine”, and “Nature”.
