Jan Hatzius, Vice President and Senior Economist, is based in the New York office, where he advises clients on the US economic and financial market outlook and contributes to the US economic research publications. He developed the firm’s global bond model, GSWIRE, and (together with Bill Dudley) the Goldman Sachs Financial Conditions Index. Other recent research has focused on the boom/bust cycle in US business investment and the saving-investment imbalances in the US economy.
