Lucinda Franks is a former staff writer for The New York Times, and she has written for the New Yorker, The New York Times Magazine, and The Atlantic. Franks is also the first female winner of the Pulitzer Prize, for her reporting on The Weathermen, an anti-Vietnam war terrorist group.
