Robert Anthony Rodriguez is a Mexican-American writer and film director. He is known for making profitable, crowd-pleasing independent and studio films with fairly low budgets and fast schedules by Hollywood standards. He shoots and produces many of his films in Texas and Mexico.

Rodriguez has collaborated with Quentin Tarantino on numerous occasions. He did uncredited directing work on Tarantino’s film “Pulp Fiction” when Tarantino was in front of the camera acting, and Tarantino has a cameo in Rodriguez’s film “Desperado”. He also directed Tarantino’s screenplay “From Dusk Till Dawn”, which Tarantino acted in. They both served as co-executive producers for the film’s two sequels.
