Robert Patrick Casey, Jr., also known as Bob Casey, Jr., or simply Bob Casey, is an American politician and was elected in 2006 as a Democratic United States Senator from the state of Pennsylvania. He received a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from the Columbus School of Law at The Catholic University of America.
Casey practiced law in Scranton until he ran for and was elected Pennsylvania State Auditor General in 1996. He attempted to follow in his father’s footsteps by running for Governor. In 2004, Casey ran for and won the position of State Treasurer with more votes than any other candidate for statewide office in Pennsylvania history.
