David H. Sawyer (1936 - 1995) was an American political consultant and founder of the G7 Group. The G7 Group advises on the macroeconomic and political developments that affect financial markets. The Group began offering its views in the G7 Daily Briefing, the US Report and through advisory services for large financial institutions, investment banks, hedge funds and multinational corporations. The G7 Telecom Briefing was launched in 1999, followed by the proprietary G7 Investment Index in 2002.
