Larry Fair is the Kentucky man, who, along with his wife Janey, fought Ford to make school buses safer after his daughter Shannon and 26 others were killed in 1988 when a drunk driver hit their school bus head-on. Fair and his wife were the subjects of James S. Kunen?s book ‘Reckless Disregard: Corporate Greed, Government Indifference, and the Kentucky School Bus Crash’, which followed the court case of the Fairs and another couple who proved that Ford was knowingly manufacturing unsafe school buses.
