Joseph Trimboli is a New York City Police Sergeant who was responsible for the arrest of Michael Dowd, a police officer who was selling drugs and weapons in the 1980s and early 1990s. Trimboli, who devoted his personal time to building a case against Dowd, was the subject of the book “Good Cop, Bad Cop” by Mike McAlary.
