Jean Smart is an American film and television actress. She starred as the character Charlene Frazier Stillfield on Designing Women from 1986 to 1991.

In January 2006, Smart joined the cast of 24 playing the First Lady of the United States Martha Logan and received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her work.
